Hands of Action International is hosting a gourmet soup and bread fundraiser at the Minnesota Nice Cafe from 5:30 to 7 pm on Tuesday, September 17th. Come sample two delicious soups along with freshly made bread. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased online at www.handsofactioninternational.org or by contacting Jenn at 218-209-1368. There will be door prizes and a pop up shop at the event. Hands of Action International is a 501c3 ministry educating, feeding, and sharing the love of Jesus with over 1000 children in Uganda, East Africa.

The September 2024 Ruby’s Pantry food distribution will take place on Wednesday, September 18th, 2024, at the Sanford Center in Bemidji. Ruby’s Pantry is for anyone that is looking to extend their monthly grocery budget. For a $25 share donation, (exact change is preferred), you will receive an abundance of groceries. There is no income or residency requirement. Guests can attend as many locations each month that work for their schedule. This is a drive thru distribution, beginning at 4 pm. Guests should bring baskets/boxes for shares to be contained in their vehicle. Pre-pay for shares is available and can be purchased at www.rubyspantry.org. Angel Outfitters is a ministry that uses donated wedding gowns to create burial gowns for infants that are stillborn, miscarried, or pass away after birth. Come be a part of the 4th annual 5K on the campus of Oak Hills Christian College. This is a fundraiser for the Student Grant Fund which provides annual grants and scholarships to the students that God leads to OHCC. The course begins and ends on the beautiful lakeshore on campus. In addition to the normal course on paved roads, you will also enjoy beautiful scenery as you run/walk through portions of wooded trails. This event is for all ages – families that want to do something to support students pursuing a biblical and Christ-centered education, groups that are looking for something meaningful to support while having fun together getting exercise and enjoying the outdoors, and for the serious runner looking to add another race to their resume, or to keep in training.
You will receive a t-shirt, participation medal, and snacks and water at the finish line. Timing and results will be provided by Pickle Events.
