Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive to take place on May 11th!
BEMIDJI ~ All community members and area businesses are invited to participate in the annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive on
Saturday, May 11. Sponsored by the National Association of Letter Carriers and United Way of Bemidji Area, the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive will benefit the Bemidji Community Food Shelf. Community members are asked to leave a sturdy bag containing nonperishable, non-expired canned or boxed items, such as baby food, peanut butter, soups, cereals, laundry soap, dish soap, deodorant, personal care items and such, next to their mailbox prior to the time of regular mail delivery on Saturday, May11. Donated items should be packaged in non-breakable containers. Bemidji letter carriers will collect the donations and deliver them to the Bemidji Community Food Shelf.
In addition to the one-day food collection by the Post Office, collection boxes are available to accept your donations at the downtown Post Office lobby between May 8 and 11.

Project Dignity is hosting their 6th Silent Auction. Project Dignity’s mission is to restore dignity to victims of sexual violence and violent crime. There will be tons of items from local and regional businesses to bid on. All proceeds go to helping victims here in the region.
Sand Hill Lake Bible Camp is pleased to announce its 14th annual Mother’s Day Fundraiser Meal – May 12, 2024 at SHLBC. Serving will be from 11AM – 2:30PM. The meal will consist of a full soup and salad bar, two meats, potatoes, vegetables, and dessert. Beltrami Electric Cooperative is calling on volunteers of all ages for GreenTouch, a volunteer event to help prepare Lake Bemidji State Park for its 2024 season. This year’s event will be held on Thursday, May 16, from 3:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.
• Volunteers will help rake leaves pick up tree debris, clean windows of the picnic shelter and other buildings, trash pickup, highway cleanup, and more.
