The monthly Full Gospel Men’s Prayer Breakfast will be held on Saturday, October 5 at First Baptist Church in Bemidji (1555 Paul Bunyan Dr NW). Please park in the back and use the rear entrance. Starting at 8:00 in the Community Room, a light breakfast of rolls, fruit and coffee will be served and there will be a time of fellowship, music, and the sharing of testimony. This month’s featured speaker is Jack Frost.

Jack’s bio: I grew up in South Minneapolis and attended Roosevelt High School. I was a member of Hope Lutheran Church. I spent summers at my grandfather’s farm working & selling eggs & produce to neighbors in South Minneapolis. Boy Scouts were a BIG part of my life. I served in the US Army during, but not in Vietnam. I worked in and around the Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport for most of my career. My wife Sherry and I will be married for 40 years in November. We have 4 grown children and in February are expecting our 13th grandchild. We are SO blessed! I am in my 40th year of knowing Jesus Christ as my personal savior and adopted son of a Triune God. What a blessing that is! Our family moved to Bemidji to purchase Joe’s Lodge in 1998. I was elected to the Ten Lake Town Board for 2 terms and served on the Beltrami County Board for 14 years. The Lord has been such a tremendous and central part of my life and a HUGE blessing to our growing family!

The Evangelical Free Church of Bemidji is celebrating its 100 Year Anniversary in mid-October. Activities will include a Through the Decades Variety Night on Friday, October 11 at 6:30PM, telling our history through video and trivia. A Community Day is featured Saturday, October 12 from 11 – 2, with free lunch at noon, along with fun family activities, petting zoo, face painting, bouncy houses, games for all, and remarks from Mayor Prince. A special Sunday Service on October 13 at 9:30AM, will feature music, testimonies, and special speakers Oak Hills President Martin Giese, and Pastor Emeritus Fred Martin. Neal & Diane Arnold, creators of “The Family Collective” will facilitate their “Face-to-Face Marriage weekend” on Friday Oct. 11th beginning at 5:30pm and all day Saturday October 12th, at Abide Church in Park Rapids, MN.

This conference is being provided at no cost.

During this conference, couples are taught to express deep, underlying emotions from a place of authentic vulnerability and learn how to ask for their own needs to be met.

Together couples understand how to be emotionally available, empathetic, and engaged with each other.

Face-to-Face Marriage Weekends provide emotional language as well as relational skills for a healthy connection between partners.
