Feed My Starving Children Packing Event in Grand Forks is Friday April 11 and Saturday April 12. We are in need of about 160 additional volunteers over the 6 shifts. We especially have openings at our 1130-1:30 shift on the 11th. To volunteer go to www.give.fmsc.org/grandforks. This site is also a place to donate toward purchase of the food we are packing. Our aim is to pack over 404,000 meals in these 2 days. The cost of $117,000 and we have about $30,000 to go to meet our financial commitment.

The April 2025 Ruby’s Pantry food distribution will take place on Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at the Sanford Center in Bemidji. Ruby’s Pantry is for anyone that is looking to extend their monthly grocery budget. For a $25 per share donation, (exact change is preferred), you will receive an abundance of groceries. You can buy as many shares as you want. There is no income or residency requirement. This is a drive thru distribution, beginning at 4 pm. Guests should bring baskets/boxes for shares to be contained in their vehicle. Pre-pay for shares is available and can be purchased at www.rubyspantry.org. Pre-payers choose a time slot to pick up their share, and skip the sometimes long wait. Pre-pay closes at 3 pm on Tuesday, April 15th. Any questions? One Voice Bemidji is inviting everyone to a Community Good Friday Service for the Bemidji area, Friday, April 18th at 6:00 pm. This will include a time of worship, message, and communion. Our heart is to bring the body of Christ together, and what better way to do it than to commemorate what Christ did for all of us on the cross, and then look forward to the great celebration of his Resurrection on Easter Sunday! The Good Friday Service will be in the Sanford Center Ballroom on Friday, April 18th @ 6pm. Pastor Alex Robinson of Calvary Chapel with be sharing the message. One Voice Bemidji is a working together of many Bible believing churches in the Bemidji area to bring glory to the Lord!
The Evangelical Free Church of Bemidji invites you to our Good Friday Service on April 18th at 7 pm. Pastor Eric Nygren will give a message about Christ’s finished work, and we will share in Communion together. We will have music from our Hand chimes, Worship Team, Choir, and Youth Band. The Support Within Reach sexual violence resource center is hosting Take Back the Night, A Night to Raise Awareness about Sexual Violence and Give Victims & Survivors a Space to Be Heard and Heal. Admission is free and online pre-registration is encouraged. Co-sponsored by the Student Center for Health & Counseling and BSU’s It’s On Us organization, this event will be held Friday, April 25 from 5:00 – 7:30PM at the Lower Lakeside Student Union Dining Area of Bemidji State University’s Hobson Memorial Union, located along Birchmont Drive NE, Bemidji.

We’re excited to share that Beltrami Electric Cooperative’s 17th Annual Multi-Vendor Indoor Garage Sale is just around the corner! This popular community event will take place on Saturday, May 3, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at our garage, located at 4111 Technology Drive NW in Bemidji.
This year’s sale will feature more than 90 booths packed with a wide range of new and gently used items—truly something for everyone! Admission is just $1 per person, and kids 12 and under are free. We’ll also have delicious food concessions, including walking tacos, baked goods, and more, so come hungry!
Most importantly, all proceeds from the event will benefit the United Way of the Bemidji Area, supporting essential programs and services that strengthen our community.
